Are we there yet!?: Santa Fe

Last week Layne had a training in Santa Fe. My original plan was to stay in Flag for a few days then head to St. George. Layne left on sunday morning, and then monday rolled around.... Wren still had not woken up and it was almost 9, so I figured something was up. I picked her up from her crib and noticed she was all wet. Yep, she had thrown up all over everything! I felt so bad that I had not gone in sooner! I got her all cleaned up, nursed her, and within 1 minute she had thrown up again. I felt so helpless (this is when I would normally call Layne and tell him to come home)!

I called the doctor and they told me exactly what to do! My first impression was just to keep trying to feed her because of dehydration, but the nurse told me to just give her a tablespoon of pedialyte every twenty minutes for about three hours.

Only problem was I did not have and pedialyte so I was frantically calling ladies in the ward! Luckily, A lady brought me over some gatorade, and another brought pedialyte ! I was so thankful! After a few hours with these she finally started feeling better, but was still so tired! She took a good nap, and woke up the next dy feeling much better.

We decided to hop in the car and drive to Santa Fe so we could be with Layne. After seven long hours of stop and go we finally made it. Driving by myself was a big girl move on my part. I never do that. Once we were with Layne I felt much better about everything. Wren was a serious stinker during the nights. Waking up every hour for the three nights we were there. She hates her pack n play!

Other than her terrible sleeping we had a great time. Santa fe is such a cool town full of rich spanish, and native american history. Downtown had tons of shops and restaurants. They have the most amazing thrift store where we got some cute booties for Wren. Layne even treated me to a massage at the spa, and I was in Heaven!
