more domestic excitement

So pretty much having a baby cost A LOT of money.  Layne and I have had multiple conversations on how to save with this or that. We would constantly have our phones out at the store calculating price wipe, or price per diaper.  I really wanted to try cloth diapers but ended up not ever researching or even trying.  I guess I still could but I decided to do the next best thing and go with homemade wipes!
Best decision ever. Wipes don't seem like all that much at the store but we were constantly buying them because we had to use so many for every little change.  Making my own at home have been easy peasy.

All you need:
-Dr. Bonners Baby Mild Soap. Love this stuff. ( I also use the non- baby kind for cleaning around the house, and body wash). This will most likely be found at a health food store, but I have seen it at Target.
- Lavender Oil.
- Baby Washcloths. I get packs of ten at Ross for about $4.
soap and oil.

I first used up all my original wipes and now I use the container for these. I put in about a cup of water (or enough to dampen all the cloths), 1 TBS soap, and 4 or 5 drops of oil. That easy!

I keep a large plastic tupperware as the discard pile then I wash them all together as needed. I love these especially for those really bad blow out diapers because I only have to use one clothe. They are also great for mouth wiping while the little one is eating!

best part: Wren's little bum smells so great afterwards!

And a cute picture of Wren, just because
