A little late

So, life has been super busy, and I never got around to writing an 8 month post for Wren ( Almost a month late). I think I will just save her little updates for her nine month post!

Little Wren being a monster at church!

We have only ever been to one NAU football game so we were excited when Abby called to invite us. We made a date night out of it with them and the Ho's.  The little girls sure loved watching!  "Aunt Abby" was having fun with charlie and Emmalee sucking on her jacket!

I have stared to watch a little one month old boy named William  It is just on Mondays and half day wednesdays. It is perfect because Layne works from home on Mondays so if I am ever in a pickle with them both needing to be fed at the same time he is always willing to jump in and help for a few minutes.
I
Abby and I decided to make little tie blankets just for a little craft night.  They are oh, so cozy!

I saw this little turkey on my friends instagram and I had to have Mac make one. He was a little confused while I was tracing his hand but ended up loving his Turkey.  Can't wait to find more things to do with him once the snow really hits here.
We have really been trying to take advantage of the nice weather these last few weekends, and it is a good thing we did because I am currently starring at 3 inches of snow out my window! Last weekend we did the Mt. Elden hike. This is one of the first hikes Layne and I did when we first moved to flag. It is a pretty long hike for an 8 month old so we only went up about 2 miles instead of the 3.  The view was still perfect, and I am sure we will conquer the whole thing again next summer! I am so grateful that Wren loves the backpack.

I had to add this picture because Layne is so proud of her little bike jersey! Maybe in will fit her in a few years ;)

Love this little girls. They are already such good friends. Emmalee was telling a story in the picture. They were so cute crawling all over the house with each other!

Layne's "work from home attire"

These are Wren's 8 month pictures. She is growing way too quickly. I guess I will write a few things about her right now.
* She loves to stand. She has been pulling herself up onto everything for about 2 weeks now. I am not ready for this. Her favorite place to stand is her crib while I am trying to get her to sleep! little stinker monkey!
*Loves to eat. She now eats 2 big meals a day with snacks throughout the day. Her favorite snacks are yogurt and cheese sticks!
* She will no longer wear bows because she just pulls them right off.
*She says, "da-da"
* Is mostly sleeping through the night. haha......
* Loves to explore the house, and put everything in her mouth.

Another weekend we went down to the beautiful Sedona.  We hiked a lovely trail but did not make it all the way (go figure) haha.  We are so lucky to live close to places where we can escape to in the winter months. I am sure we will be spending a lot of time in Phoenix this winter, and I can't wait.  There are some really cool hiking places that we are just dying to explore.

Not the most comfortable nap taking spot, but it works.

For Halloween this year David had to be downtown in the dental office booth so we all met and went to dinner and one of our favorite restaurants in flag. It is called Criollo, and everything on their menu is local grown, which we always love! These ladies have been my saving grace since moving here. I could not ask for better friends, and we are so lucky that we all have girls around the same age.

bad picture, but these girls love their dads!
