Layne and I both knew that we were craving an outdoor trip, so we decided to head to St.George and do some kayaking. We ended up renting the kayaking for only 15 dollars with gear and all! Such a fun and cheap date.
It ended up being the most beautiful day. We even parked the kayak and swam around some really neat rock structure
The next day our friend Skye came down from Cedar City, and we showed her one of our most favorite spots in all of Utah. This is up above Snow Canyon State Park, and is only a 3 mile hike. Even if it was a 30 mile hike this view is worth it! What a great way to celebrate 2 years together.
Flagstaff has been treating us very well for the most part. I'm almost 27 weeks pregnant now, and we can't wait to meet this little girl. Layne has had a lot of fun doing online shopping and trying to find the best deals (one of his many talents). It is stressful to think about how we are going to afford everything once I am not working, but it will all work out! I really like my OB, and he has a reputation at being to 90% of all his births which is really great. We have been taking few different classes... preparing for birth, breastfeeding basics, newborn care, and Layne is going to a daddy boot camp soon. These have all been really helpful. There was so much that I did not know!
We also got our Christmas tree up right before we left to Utah for thanksgiving. Our original plan was to stay in Flag, but we ended up road tripping with another couple from our ward! They were so great to let us ride along. Thanksgiving was spent withe Layne's family, and I was able to stop by my grandpa's house and visit with him, and some of my other family members. My mom even left us a little gift for the baby, and a home video of me being born! It sounds a little weird, but it was very cool to watch!
With Love,
Layne and McKenzie
