Hiking/Temple Trip

Last saturday Layne and I decided to climb Mt.Humphreys Peak. It is the tallest mountain in Arizona at 12, 633 Feet.  We woke up really early so that we could be on the trail by about 6:30.  The trail was beautiful and pretty easy for the most part.  By the time we were up above the treeline we were snuggled up under our sweaters ready for the cold.  Boy was it cold. We figured about 40 degrees plus winds over 60mph.  By the end of the hike you are literally holding on for dear life (if you can find anything other than shell rock to hold onto).  Once Layne and I finally reached the summit we snapped a picture and turned right back around.  It was beautiful, but a little bit miserable!  We were glad that we got up so early because on the way back we saw over 60 hikers coming up the trail.  Avoiding the crowd was critical.  I am so happy that we have been taking advantage of all he local wonders here in Arizona.
We also went to Sedona with Chris and Abby to  yummy pizza restaurant, and afterwards they took us out in the toyota fj to climb  few rocks! We are excited that we are finally making friends.

Layne and I also did a 5k a few weeks back. I got third in my age division and Layne for 2nd overall! We won some beautiful navajo bracelets.
Yesterday we headed to Snowflake to go to a temple session.  Layne really wanted to attend  spanish session so I got to wear headphones the whole time. I was glad because it helped me focus more.  It is a stunning temple, and I am excited that it is our new temple.
