Change

I have not blogged in over 4 months and things for us have changed! It all started back in February when Layne was talking to his boss about his future with the National Park Service.  Layne always went the extra mile working for cedar breaks, and his boss knew this.  His boss told him that he had a few people he could talk to. After only a few days the plan was set into place. We were moving to Flagstaff, AZ.  I was a little shocked at first but mostly happy!  There was a catch though. He had to start working in March, and he ended up driving down every Wednesday and coming home on Saturdays. It was not fun, but we made it! Poor kid!

May rolled around and Layne and I both walked at graduation ( even though I graduated last year).  It was great to see all of our families before we headed to AZ. My mom actually ended up renting a rental car and taking some of our stuff down because everything did not fit like we had planned! Thanks mom again!

After all the stress of graduation and moving we got to go to Disneyland for a few days! Layne and I were like little kids running from ride to ride.  Our highlight of the California trip though was by far the attending a session in the Newport Beach Temple.  All the rooms were decorated with waves and birds on the walls. It was so beautiful.

 Layne out on the Job
On saturday we decided to Climb Mt Elden. Walking the next day was pretty rough, but happy to be getting back in shape.

Our next adventure. The San Fran mountains.
After California we finally are getting settled in flagstaff.  Our apartment is slowly coming together, and I am still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that Layne has a "real job" now! I also am working about 35 hours a week as a Dental Assistant at a pediatric office. It is perfect for me, and all the girls are really helpful. Lots to learn at a new office but it is going well.  All in all, we are loving Flagstaff. It is perfect for our "granola" lifestyle. trails go around the whole city, and Layne bikes to work everyday.
